My PhD project was announced!

Enrollment (or enrolment in the UK) was its own process, but I did it. My ID will have a hilariously bad picture, but it follows the guidelines of a passport photo here (no smile, hair behind the ears, white background, super fun). Once my email is set up and my ID is in hand, I think I can get student discounts again—on the bus, on Word, on theatre tickets. I feel like a youngin’!

As soon as I found out I got into the program (programme), I’ve been reading and writing so much. I think I talked about that before, but it was primarily about the reading then. Something finally clicked on the writing side. The creative book of my degree leapt from 10 poems to 100 poems. Now I can get to revising. And when that’s done, I’ll tackle the book of scholarship.

I have to say something that will maybe come off as weird—when I write, I know that some of my books are better than others.
